Arts Council Malta has been a key supporter of Opening Doors Association for many years, providing core funding through the Investment in Cultural Organisations (ICO) Fund and additional support through the Premju tal-President għall-Kreattività. This long-standing partnership has allowed us to sustain and grow our music, theatre, and dance classes, while strengthening our internal policies and processes—building a solid foundation for the organisation’s ongoing work and future growth.

Voluntary Organisations Project Scheme (VOPS)

Voluntary Organisations Project Scheme (VOPS), a funding programme administered through Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector, provided Opening Doors with a one-off grant which sponsored our Visible Voices performance. The funding also contributed to the development of photographic and media materials used in our public communications, as well as a contribution towards the organisation’s website development, helping to strengthen Opening Doors’ visibility and outreach.

Spazju Kreattiv has been a home for Opening Doors since the organisation’s earliest beginnings, playing an important role in its founding through the European project from which Opening Doors first emerged. Since then, Spazju Kreattiv has continued to support us by providing space for a range of activities, including our weekly sessions of Theatre 1 and 2, performances and the Arts Ability Weekend, remaining a valued and longstanding partner in our journey.

School of Performing Arts (SOPA)

School of Performing Arts (SOPA) provides Opening Doors with the space where its weekly training sessions take place, offered at a highly supportive and reduced rate. This invaluable support makes it possible for us to deliver our regular programmes and activities; without this space, we would not have a home in which to provide ongoing training for our members.

Teatru Manoel has been a longstanding collaborator of Opening Doors, supporting us through space and opportunities for artistic exchange and engagement. Their openness to working alongside us continues to create valuable spaces for creative development and inclusive artistic practice.

Access, opportunity, creativity.

These are not just words - they are the principles that guide our work, and the reason Opening Doors can nurture talent, break down barriers, and create meaningful pathways.

We couldn’t do it alone.

Behind every project is a network of organisations, institutions, and individuals who believe in the potential of all artists - and in the right to participate fully in the arts.
