Creative Labs are interdisciplinary sessions where members and the artistic team come together to experiment, collaborate and develop ideas across art forms. They grew directly out of member feedback and have been part of the programme since October 2025.

Leading From Within

Supported by Arts Council Malta's Investment in Cultural Organisations programme, 2026–2029

Three people interacting on stage, with two women and one man, one of the women is pointing something off-camera and all are smiling or showing excited expressions.

Opening Doors has embarked on a three-year journey to build a more reflective, responsive and member-led organisation. The artistic vision and feedback of our members shapes how our programmes evolve - and Creative Labs are the first expression of that.

As part of this work, we are developing a Manual of Creative Practice: a living document that captures our approaches to inclusive, collaborative and interdisciplinary artistic creation. It will be launched during Opening Doors' 20th anniversary year and shared with the wider arts community.

Alongside this, we are strengthening our internal practices - from safeguarding to organisational processes. Looking inward, to grow outward.
